Hey, I planned to free up my SD card by formatting it, and everything went well until I found that I used to store my precious wedding pictures in my SD card. I have no copy of them, so is it possible to recover photos after formatting an SD card? I have found software that claims they can, but I am unsure if it is possible.

Sure. It is possible to recover photos after you have formatted an SD card. You thought you had permanently deleted the photos from the SD card, but they remain on your SD card until they are overwritten by the new data you stored. So it is giving you a chance to recover them. In this case, you need a photo or data recovery tool like Panda Data Recovery Wizard to regain your memories.
You can perform photo recovery from an SD card like this after you download this photo recovery software:
Step 1. Open Panda Data Recovery Wizard and carefully connect your formatted SD card. Do not unplug it suddenly. Now, you need to select the formatted SD card and click "Scan".
Step 2. You can quickly locate the lost files by using the filter feature. To recover deleted photos from the SD card, choose "Pictures".
Step 3. You can first preview the files to ensure you have selected the photos you want to repair, which can be successfully opened after recovery. Click "Recover" and save your files in a different location from the original.
Suppose you are running a Windows operating system and have enabled File History and Windows Backup. You need to find the deleted photos in your backup and click restore to get them back. But if, unfortunately, you have disabled them, you are advised to use a professional photo recovery tool like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover photos after formatting an SD card.
